I was invited to Konsthall Tornedalens weather station, I worked with this the electric big project Aurora line, this is my report:

"Konsthall Tornedalens "weather station" is a cottage in Vitsaniemi, right by the Torne River, to which artists are invited to immerse themselves in the local weather.

At the weather station, artists create what can be called "weather reports." Weather reports can take different forms: painting, poetry, fiction, reportage, video diaries, films, photography, podcasts and more.

At the end of the artist's stay in Vitsaniemi, a presentation is made at the weather station. The "weather report" is also published on our website and via the international network The World Weather Network, which is a pioneering constellation of art institutions around the world that have all created their own weather stations.

The weather station in Vitsaniemi is a way for Konsthall Tornedalen to immerse ourselves in a conversation about climate change and the ongoing "transition" in northern Sweden. At the weather station, we will therefore also host seminars and organise meetings around local issues related to the weather and climate, such as wind farms, electrification, hydropower dams and deforestation. The weather station's participation in an international network makes our work in Vitsaniemi part of an important global, cultural, economic and political discussion.
