Tomhetens geografi handlar om att hålla andan och att försöka förstå innebörden av tomhet, en geografi tömd på både sin form och sitt innehåll. Det uppstår ett mellanrum i tiden efter att byarna och deras omgivande skogar inte längre finns kvar och före det att gruvan tagit form. Mitt i allt buller uppstår en speciell sorts tystnad.
Projektet är under uppstart och en undersökande första del har producerats med stöd av Luleå konsthall.
The geography of emptiness
Norrakolektivet (Anja Örn, Fanny Carinasdotter, Anja Örn)
"The geography of emptiness" is about holding your breath and trying to understand the meaning of emptiness, a geography emptied of both its form and its content. A gap emerges in time after the villages and their surrounding forests no longer exist and before the mine has taken shape. Amidst all the noise, a special kind of silence arises.
The project is in its early stages, and an initial investigative part has been produced with the support of Luleå Konsthall.
